I decided to use strong brushstrokes on this piece as that's somewhat out of character for my work. Red is a very bold color and with the backdrop consisting of fat, apparent brushstrokes sitting behind a shiny blob of white lacquer creates what I like to think of as art derivative of Japanese prints.
