This listing is for NOSE BUTTER® with a Boxer on the label in an organza gift bag .The one ounce tin listed is the one ounce classic round tin with fawn Boxer on label, other sizes and brindle Boxer options listed.

Handcrafted individually using organic shea butter, organic olive oil, organic castor oil, organic avocado oil, organic almond oil, organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, organic cocoa seed butter, a dash of essential oils and a LOT of LOVE.

NOSE BUTTER is an uber-moisturizer made of organic ingredients that soak into your dog’s nose in layers. First the smaller molecules are absorbed, then the ingredients with medium molecules melt in and then the larger molecules bring up the rear to act as a protective barrier (while still being light enough to allow the nose leather skin to breathe). HOW TO APPLY NOSE BUTTER®

A: NOSE BUTTER IN TINS

Open the tin
Scoop a bit out appropriate to the size of your dog’s nose
Dab it on their nose. Tah Dah!
You do not have to rub it in, it will melt
Distract to keep them from licking (see below)
Repeat 2-3x a day for 1-3 days or until nose is back in shape
Then use as needed for maintenance (usually 1-2x a week)

A: NOSE BUTTER IN TUBES

Point the tube away from their eyes
Swipe across the top of the nose. About as much as a light swipe of lipstick (men-imagine it)
Distract to keep them from licking (see below)
Repeat 2-3x a day for 1-3 days or until nose is back in shape
Then as needed for maintenance (usually 1-2x a week)

DISTRACT! DIVERT! BEFORE, DURING & AFTER

Give a cookie or treat
Feed their dinner (with extra yummies)
Give them their favorite toy
Play with them for a bit
Go for a walk
Distraction is the key! Cookies always distract me, so a treat may be best. Yum, now I want a cookie.

TIP! Not only does something positive (cookies) take their mind off having something done to them, it also build an association between GOOD STUFF and NOSE BUTTER application.

FOR EXTREMELY CRUSTY OR CRACKED NOSES

Follow the steps above for tin or tube.

After 2-3 days of multiple daily application, test the crusty stuff with a bit of tissue and see if it will rub off.

If it does not crumble right off (will look like black, greasy dirt), keep applying NOSE BUTTER 2-3x a day until it easily, without picking, comes off. Resist the urge to pick as tempting as it may be.

The crusty stuff is actually skin and it will hurt to pick it off, just like us pulling a scab off a skinned knee that is not ready to come off.
