About

My jewelry line emerged slowly. I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Jewelry and Metals from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. I had about seven years, which I refer to as 'before craft', where I worked an office job and almost never touched my beloved tools or sheets of silver. Slowly, I found time to get my studio in order, designs started to flow in my head, my hands gravitated towards my tools and a small jewelry line came to being. From there I started to play with my enamels, introducing color to my otherwise grey palette. Other design elements came into play, I had vintage jewelry parts cast into silver to incorporate into my designs giving these pieces a new life and meaning. Now my visions of new jewelry designs grow in my sketchbook while I keep busy with the fabricating my already established collections. I know one day those designs will find there way into metal. I wake up every day excited to see what will come next, how I will add to my collections and I continually find myself in awe of just how well my jewelry is received. Thanks to social media customers post pictures of my jewelry being worn, sweet emails are sent my way, thanking me for all of the compliments my customers get from wearing the jewelry I made. Being able to focus on my itty bitty business has been an experience more rewarding than I have words for. Thank you to all of my beloved customers, without you I wouldn't be making piles of metal dust.

When I am not making jewelry I am playing with my Bernese Mountain dog, Callie Rose and capturing the details of my life to share on Instagram and vsco grid. Just as my jewelry line took time to come in to being, I see my photographs becoming a part of what defines me as an artist. For now, they influence which colors and textures find a way into my jewelry designs.

Thank you for being awesome and buying handmade. xo, kim
