Upcycling offcut material from wood workshops in Berlin.
Architects design the interior of a house. Cabinet makers measure and cut the raw material according to the dimension of the exact space. During this process, it is inevitable to produce leftover material since the size of raw material and a corner of a house cannot be the same. There is always off-cut material generated from a project, either stored or trashed. Little pieces of woods are thrown away, and the timber disposal has to be paid.
OffCut Berlin is a collaboration of Christoph Tettenborn (Germany, architect/cabinet maker at Tipla, meisterwerkstatt für möbel and design) and Yena Young (South Korea, architect at Plastique Fantastique) They find good quality leftover materials while they work in architectural projects, and give a new value to them. This up-cycling method saves the material cost and reduces the waste of raw material. As a result, customers can meet high quality handcraft products supporting an ecological process.

All orders will be shipped within 3-5 business days from the date of payment if the items are in stock. Please check the amount online. Since it is a handmade item, there is only limited amount that can be produced. All packages will be sent via DHL International from Germany. When shipping overseas, customs can expect the package in 3 days in European Union, 10-12 days in other countries, but it is not guaranteed. It can delay up to 2-3 weeks. This doesn't happen often, but it can happen.
The return of the item is accepted within 30 days of the purchase. The item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect. The original shipping cost will not be refunded. Please email yy@yenayoung.com to request a refund.
