Shortly after Josh and I became engaged, I found myself addicted to the wedding section on Pinterest. One afternoon, while scrolling vigorously through pins, I noticed that chalkboards were becoming really popular for weddings. I took the IPad over to show Josh what I wanted to buy, and he assured me that he could make a chalkboard himself. He was convinced that he could make a one of a kind chalkboard from scratch. I was a little skeptical, but I figured it was worth a try. Little did I know that one chalkboard turned into a business and over 2200 sales! Josh was able to quit his "real job" in September 2013, and now makes handcrafted chalkboards full time! We absolutely love what we do, and even on the most stressful days we wouldn't trade it for anything! We have been fortunate enough to have supportive families who will drop what they are doing to come help stain, cut, sand, paint, ship...we are very blessed to have this opportunity and to share our hobby with people all over the world. So on those nights at 1 A.M when I'm splattered with wood stain, and have what feels like a one inch layer of sawdust covering my body, I just remember how blessed we are!
